Terms of Service

1. Service Description

AI Board of Directors ("the Service") is a web application that facilitates multi-AI deliberation sessions. The Service routes your questions to multiple AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google) using API keys that you provide, and returns synthesized responses.

2. API Key Handling

The Service operates on a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model. You are responsible for providing your own API keys for the AI providers you wish to use. Regarding your keys:

Your API keys are stored exclusively in your browser's session storage and are never saved on our servers.
Keys are transmitted over HTTPS to our backend solely for the purpose of making API calls on your behalf during a deliberation session.
Keys exist in server memory only for the duration of a single HTTP request and are discarded immediately after.
When you close your browser tab or log out, your keys are automatically cleared from session storage.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.

4. Subscription and Billing

Free Tier: 5 deliberations per month, limited to the Advanced complexity tier.
Pro Tier ($15/month): Unlimited deliberations, all complexity tiers, full history, and follow-up questions.
Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the Manage Subscription portal.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. API Provider Charges

You are solely responsible for any charges incurred on your API provider accounts (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) as a result of using the Service. The Service does not control or have visibility into your API provider billing. We recommend monitoring your provider dashboards for usage.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Generate content that violates any applicable laws or regulations.
Attempt to circumvent rate limits, subscription restrictions, or security measures.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure.
Use the Service for any purpose that violates the terms of service of the underlying AI providers.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the questions you submit and the context you provide. The deliberation outputs are generated by third-party AI models and are subject to those providers' terms regarding generated content. We do not claim ownership of AI-generated outputs.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:

The accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated responses.
Decisions made based on deliberation outputs.
Service interruptions, data loss, or API provider outages.
Charges incurred on your API provider accounts.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your deliberation history will be deleted.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
